Parks The largest New York park is Central Park which was created by Frederic Lan Olmsted.Other parks are:Battery Park, East River Park, Riverside Park or Brooklyn Heights.The Bronx has the New York Botanical Garden and the Bronx Zoo.
Schools There is a few universities in New York.For example Columbia University(oldest in the country), New York University(largest in the USA), City University of New York.
Sports There sre two famous stadiums:Yankee and Shea.There is sport center Madison Square Garden in New York.It is home for the Knicks(baseball) and New York Rangers(ice-hockey).There is tennis championship in Flashing Meadow Park in Queens every year.

New York is also known as „Melting Pot“ because there is cosmopolitan society.More than 80 languages are now spoken in New York.There is more than one hundert religious denominations.
